Do you build custom homes in Newnan and Peachtree City?
Yes. Johnson Construction Group is a licensed general contractor based in Newnan and builds custom homes across Coweta County, Peachtree City, Douglasville, Carrollton and the west side of metro Atlanta.
Can you build on a lot I already own?
Yes. Most of our custom homes are built on land the client already owns. We look at the site before anything is priced so grading, access, septic or sewer, and utilities are known up front.
Do you handle the design, or do I bring my own plans?
Either. You can bring finished plans from your architect, or we can work with you and our designers, architects and engineers from the first sketch. Both paths end with a full set of construction drawings before we price the build.
How do you price a custom home?
From a written scope and a real set of plans, not a per-square-foot guess. You get a line by line proposal that shows what is included. Allowances for things you have not picked yet, like tile or fixtures, are called out as allowances so there are no surprises later.
Who will I be dealing with during the build?
A JCG superintendent runs your job day to day, and you have a direct line to the owner. You are not handed off to a call center.

What kind of commercial work does JCG do?
Tenant buildouts, office and retail construction, restaurant and hospitality spaces, medical facilities, and government projects across metro Atlanta. Our own crew handles punch list, finish work, and smaller framing and drywall scopes. Larger trades are run by licensed subcontractors we manage directly.
Do you do tenant improvements in leased space?
Yes. Buildouts inside a landlord’s shell are a core part of our work. We coordinate with the landlord’s requirements and the permitting authority so the space opens on schedule.
Are you licensed and insured for commercial work in Georgia?
Yes. JCG holds a Georgia general contractor license and carries the insurance your landlord or lender will ask for. Certificates are available on request.
Can you work from my architect’s drawings?
Yes. Send the plans and we will price from them. If you do not have drawings yet, we work with designers, architects and engineers and can take the project from concept through permit.
How do you handle pricing and changes on a commercial job?
You get a written proposal against the drawings. Changes during the job are priced and approved in writing before the work happens, so the number you signed is the number you can plan around.

What residential projects does JCG take on?
Whole-house renovations, room additions, kitchen and bath remodels, basement finishes, decks and porches, and home restoration. If it changes the structure of the house, it is the kind of work we do.
Do you pull permits?
Yes. Permits, inspections and code compliance are handled by us as part of the job.
Will you give me a written estimate?
Yes. Every project gets a written proposal that lists what is included. Selections you have not made yet are shown as allowances.
